Paper Scrapbooking: Stickers
Stickers are an integral part of scrapbooking. Decorating the photos and story help bring the memories to life and keep it beautiful to those who weren't able to be there to experience that particular moment in time. Every scrapbook page should have relevant scrapbooking stickers – this isn't a difficult task, as there are literally thousands of scrapbooking stickers on the market today that range from letters, to borders, to popular TV characters and everything in between! Many stickers come bundled together with a few of each different kind in all the same color and/or theme.
If you are a beginning scrapbooker, I suggest getting the acid-free and lignin-free scrapbooking stickers that come bundled together. You can see the red and pink love scrapbooking stickers in the picture come in a large sheet and include border strips, tabs, word art, alphabets, quotes, even fill-in-the-blank scrapbooking stickers. The scrapbooking stickers are various sizes and shapes but all keep within a color palette and theme that will help your layouts coordinate to make a cohesive looking album. All the scrapbooking stickers on the love sheet were only $2 and there are enough there to use in an entire album! You can also purchase the coordinating paper pack and album so everything goes together perfectly!
Scrapbooking stickers are probably the most used decoration in scrapbooks simply because thanks to modern technology, most everything is now made with a sticky adhesive back and can be referred to as a scrapbooking sticker. Stickers are no longer the flat paper with a white border from when we were growing up, they are now puffy, use fabric and gemstones and glitter, look like cute animals, falling leaves, or cheerleader outfits, some are see-through and others even light up, move, and play music!
The wonderful thing about all these scrapbooking stickers is their ability to draw people in to the emotion they represent. Even better, they are available in every price range and most are acid-free and lignin-free! Scrapbooking stickers can be used in an endless number of ways, from framing photos, to adding a border, or making a memorabilia pocket. Try using several stickers of the same theme to create a cluster that really draws the eye into your layout. I'd love to hear about your favorite stickers and how to use them, leave me a comment below!
